Abstract
In this Study, vibration characteristics of mechanical structure having high natural frequency is investigated from the viewpoint of energy balance equation. Usually, mechanical structures having high natural frequency in a nuclear power plant is designed statically and elastically. However it is very important to grasp seismic safety reliability dynamically by considering cyclic load. This paper describes investigation into vibration characteristics of SDOF model under sinusoidal wave excitation from the viewpoint of energy balance. The energy balance equation is one of valid method to evaluate cyclic vibration response such as seismic load.
