Abstract
Semi-active vibration systems with variable damping and stiffness have good isolating performances. However, the device for variable damping and stiffness is complicated. In this paper, a system using two controllable dampers is proposed. The total damping and stiffness of this system is changed independently. The theoretical calculation and experimental results showed that the system could realize variable damping and stiffness; moreover, the system with damping and stiffness on-off control had a good performance.
