Abstract
The measurement of Vibration Intensity (VI) is an effective means to identify the vibration energy flow. The vibration energy propagating the shell structure consists of the flexural component and extensional component and interacts mutually. However, when the VI method is applied to measurement of extensional VI, it has some errors caused by setting of many acceleration sensors and interaction of these components in the boundary between flat plate and curve plate. In the present paper, an attempt was made to simplify the measurement method of extensional component of VI at shell structures employing the vibration data obtained thought finite element method (FEM) analysis.
