Abstract
The purpose of the present investigation is to clarify the vibration characteristics of piezoelectric vibrator coated with silicon rubber. In this paper, frequency response curves of the drive unit obtain by the numerical analysis are compared with the experimental result. From the results, it was clear that the analysis results correspond qualitatively well with the experimental ones within the lower frequency range below the first resonance point but don't agree above the point. Therefore, it is indicated that the analysis is effective within the lower frequency range but it is necessary to consider the viscoelasticity of silicon rubber additionally for the higher frequency range.
