Abstract
Railway viaduct is one of institutes which have subject to reduce noise form it because it causes an excessive degree of noise attributable to vibrations of structural members such as floor slab. In order to develop a certain effective countermeasure, it is vital to evaluate and analysis the vibration of railway viaduct and noise from it and establish a method to predict the structure-borne noises. Therefore, we performed impact test and measurement of the noise and vibration upon train passage over the viaduct constructed for Shinkansen line. Moreover, we executed a frequency response analysis by finite element method (FEM) by applying the results of the impact test and measurement upon train passage, and calculated noise sources adjacent to floor slabs based on the solution of the analysis. As the result, it revealed that the calculated and measured values were approximately consistent in a range below 500-Hz, however deviated in a range exceeding 500-Hz. It is therefore necessary to improve the accuracy of analyses in the high range of frequency.
