Abstract
Maintaining of the integrity of reactor pressure vessels and reactor internals in BWR is one of the focal points to secure stable and efficient plant operation. Pressure pulsation associated with reactor recirculation (PLR) pump impellor motion has potential risk of acoustical-induced-vibration, resulting in material fatigue failure. Experiments were performed to improve and validate the evaluation methods. As a result of experiment, the acoustic mode shapes and frequency response showed the good agreement with those of numerical simulation. The simulation confirmed to predict the mode shapes, frequency response and pressure pulsation.
