Abstract
A linear power amplifiers are usually used to drive small or middle class magnetic bearings. Recently power IC has been developed especially for audio applications. Pulse Width Modulated (class D) power amplifier ICs are also developed. Cost effective power amplifiers are also requested for magnetic bearings. In this paper low cost PWM amplifier is tried to develop and to apply to the HB type magnetic bearings.
