Abstract
Disk brake squeal depend on the pressure for brake. It is necessary to clarify the cause of the pressure dependency of squeal to prevent squeal effectively. The past researches clarified that the pressure dependency of the dynamic stiffness of brake pad is a cause of the pressure dependency of squeal and squeal generation. In this study, the relation between the vibration mode of brake disk and sound pressure level of squeal is measured. And the mechanism of squeal generation is examined using an analytical model of three degree of freedom.
