Abstract
In large-scale turbo-machinery such as the steam turbine and the gas turbine, the bearing stiffness increases and becomes equal to the stiffness of the support structure. Therefore, the response analysis by the coupled model of rotor and foundation is needed to evaluate the rotor dynamics properly. This analysis needs many computing time because of the degrees of freedom increase by modeling the complication foundation and bearing box structure. To solve this problem, We applied the reduced impedance method. This paper introduce the result of response analysis by reduced impedance method and confirm the fast computation and the accuracy is same as the direct method by the reduced impedance method.
