Abstract
The aim of this study is presenting a new design method for the internal grinding spindle whose operating range is between 1st and 2nd critical speed. Spindle shape is designed so that the 1st bending natural frequency decreases and the 2nd bending natural frequency increases compare the normally designed spindle which has constant diameter by based on parameter study and optimization calculation using finite element spindle model.
