Abstract

The troubles, which on-board equipments or its parts in a bogie or car body of a railway vehicle drop off to the outside in running, have happen occasionally. In these troubles, an occasion seems to be the vibration in the vehicle according to the previous investigation. Since the approach against to the vibration in a bogie has hardly studied, a method to estimate the vibration bogie under the running condition is desired. We have proposed a simple method to predict the vibration in a bogie from a transfer function between arbitrary position in bogie and the axle boxes by impact excitation, and the acceleration at axle boxes in running. The prediction accuracies of the vibration in bogie were evaluated in low speed in previous study, therefore, we carried out the test in a commercial vehicle; an impact excitation and running test up to 100km/h in a commercial line as a second step. This paper describes the outline of the prediction method and a result of the evaluation test in a commercial vehicle.
