Abstract

We study a simple technique to predict the vibration acceleration at arbitrary points of a bogie for a railway vehicle under the running condition using test results in static impact excitation. Assuming a linear system of 4 inputs 1 output in which the vibration input from 4 axle boxes settle the output of vibration acceleration at arbitrary points of the bogie. The output of acceleration power spectral density (PSD) can be estimated by the acceleration of the inputs and transfer function between the inputs and output. By the former consideration, an estimation result similar to the observation result was obtained except for a part of the frequency band range. In this report, we conduct tests under the various testing conditions and confirm the influence a testing condition exerts on the estimated result to aim at establishment of a test method. And more, we consider the accuracy improvement of estimation result of a part of frequency band range and the estimation results are parallel with the observation results for the most part of frequency range.
