Abstract

Aim of this research is to develop a robot driver which operates the throttle, handlebar and brake lever in the same way as human beings. The concept of the robot driver is just sitting on the driver seat without combining controllers into the vehicle. This paper describes the first application of the robot driver applied to an amphibious vehicle ARGO 8×8. Experimental data shows that ARGO is operated by the robot driver through the remote controller.
