A simplified calculation method for in-plane and out-of-plane coupled vibration occurred in thin curved panels is presented in this report. In order to treat such vibration motions simply, a structure consist of straight and curved beams is proposed and the connecting conditions of these beams are satisfied by means of artificial springs introduced at their joints. The analytical procedure to obtain vibration response versus harmonic displacement excitation applied into the basement of the supports of the coupled system is described in detail. Vibration responses for the different bending rigidities and loss factors in the beams are calculated as numerical examples. The influence of the loss factors in the curved beams is observed upon the vibration response of floor section, particularly for the motion with large relative displacement between roof and floor.
