Abstract

Epilepsy is one of the diseases of the central nervous system. Currently, there is a need for a device to detect signs of seizures prior to seizures for the treatment of patients with intractable epilepsy. Since we are considering an intracerebroventricular device, we have proposed a pre-seizure detection method based on an EEG model using nonlinear oscillators to detect seizures from EEG.In order to observe subtle changes in the EEG, we obtained approximately one second of data for each sampling time of the EEG, obtained parameters in an inverse problem using an optimization method, and examined the correspondence between the EEG and the real EEG.The results show that there is a significant change in parameters between epileptic and normal EEG.
