Abstract

In this study, we focused on characteristics of operational and component transfer path analysis (TPA) methods developed recently. At first, we conducted operational and hammering tests employing simple vehicle model for applying operational TPA (OTPA) and component TPA (CTPA). The obtained contributions from these methods were similar each other and the high contributor was verified to have significant influence to the response point actually through simple countermeasure. However, a reference point contribution (left side of motor attachment point) was different in these methods. The calculated contribution of OTPA was larger than that of CTPA. Then, we carried out another verification test and considered the reason through the theoretical background of these methods. As the result, the left side attachment point vibration was found to be affected largely by input force from the right side point. Accordingly, the input force contribution from right side was calculated to be dominant by CTPA. On the other hand, the vibration contribution from left and right side points were calculated to be large by OTPA. This contribution difference (input force / vibration contribution) has to be understood well for considering effective countermeasure using these TPA methods.
