Abstract

In this study, we attempted to estimate door vibration of a refrigerator in which the compressor is installed at top for good usability. The vibration contributions from the compressor to the door was analyzed by transfer path analysis and factors increasing the door vibration was identified. Then, the compressor mount force transmission rate was obtained as follows to estimate the door vibration in case the rubber mount characteristic is changed. The mount force transmission rate was obtained by using the point inertance of the compressor in a unit test, and by curve fitting a theoretical formula to the measured point inertance. The door vibration was then estimated using the transfer path analysis model and the force transmission rate of the mount. Finally, the door vibration change tendency could be estimated well by using the above proposed method.
