Abstract
Consideration of the life cycle of products is an important evaluative factor in product design optimization. However, the increase in the number of evaluative factors and design variables that such considerations require has until now prevented the concurrent evaluation of product life cycle factors. In addition, the existence of hierarchy and constraint relationships among decision variables increases the difficulty of concurrent decision-making. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes an optimization method based on the consideration of the hierarchy relationships and constraint relationships among the decision variables. As a result, the variables introduced by product life cycle considerations can be included in the early stages of product design.
