In this paper, we propose an approach method to solve packing problems of irregular polygons (i. e. the convex and concave polygons). To solve this problem, we use an approach method based on the "artificial shake actions". By giving vibration, the irregular polygons will collide with each other while changing their positions and orientations continually, and by repeating these actions, the allocation space can be shrunk. Due to this unique mechanism, the wastes between the irregular polygons become smaller gradually. Then irregular polygons of different shapes and sizes are packed with high packing density. To obtain effective vibration pattern the parameters of the vibration (i.e. amplitude, angular frequency and initial phase) are tuned by using Evolutionary Programming (EP) technique. In this paper, we carry out some simulation-basis experiments, and examine the applicability of the proposed methodology
