Abstract
Physical shape data of sample bones can de collected by a non-contacting type of digitizer. However, stable position of sample bones was not easily obtained during the data collection procedure. Therefore, we have designed and developed a special zig for this sturdy. The paper presents the overview of the 3D bone modeling method with this zig based on a reverse engineering approach. To evaluate the method, a physical prototype was created by 3D printer based on the model, and compared with the original bone sample.
