Abstract
In this paper, the method for describing the functional elements and the technical information through the required functions and the technique of deriving the conceptual forms are proposed. First, the template of "Required Functions", "Required Specification" on geometrical forms and the typical words that represent designers' intention item are classified. Second, the form elements is collected and the relation among the required function, the functional element and the technical information is structured. Finally, by using these relations, the system which supports deriving the conceptual forms by the required functions is developed.
