Abstract
It is pointed out that there are many points in common between management of technology and design education. Managers and designers have to work in an unpredictable situation and their experience will never be repeated the same way. And thus they have to work their way with their own decisions, based upon the judgment by listening to or observing the others. It is insisted that to consider that both have so many common points, it would be better to incorporate management of technology into design education because product development is one of the primary topics to learn in management of technology and to expand design education so that it will also deal with economic, legal, ethical and social issues.
