抄録
It is pointed out that economic aspect should also be considered in design education. To achieve that goal, it would be best to carry out another higher level strategy-oriented design education at the postgraduate level, where engineers are educated with students from economics, from law, and from other fields so that they would learn how to create knowledge and how to create or to add value to these pieces of created knowledge. Although MoT or Management of Technology is getting wide attention these days in Japan, it would be more advisable to utilize such design education to bring up human resources for the management of technology, because in Japan, education is carried out on a single career path principle. If we can establish integrated design education which will involve different schools across the campus, then that would serve most workably for Japanese students to learn how to manage technology in its true sense.
