Abstract
This research presents an optimal design of active suspension with random road surface input simulation. In this work sky hook controll gain and mechanical parameters like active suspension, damper and spring are considered. Besides, the 8-DOF vehicle model is used for calculating the simulation. The criteria which is the function of energy consumption and vehicle vibration is defined. Hence a research on the design parameters of the afore mentioned criteria gives an optimal result on the vehicle vibration and energy consumption.
