The purpose of our research is to formulate 'the Automated CT-based 3D remote surgical planning system for total hip replacement'. Recent advanced planning systems evaluate quantitatively the fitness and stability of each individual implant (e.g. femoral stem) to provide some objective measure for surgeons on a local machine. However, calculation of those parameters and visualization of the 3D models occupy much throughput of the computer. Nowadays, broadband has become popular and computers can access to remote PC clusters easily. So even on low spec computers, doctors can distribute required processings and receive the results sooner than ever.
