Abstract
MoT or Management of Technology is getting wide attention these days in Japan. It is pointed out that it would be more advisable to utilize design education to bring up human resources for the management of technology rather than to start another course just for MoT. In fact, many researchers point out that management and design have a great deal in common. Besides, education is carried out on a single career path principle and human resources capable of both management and technology are really lacking in Japan. If we can establish integrated design education which will involve different principles such as law, economics, etc across the whole campus, then it would serve most workably for Japanese students to learn how to manage technology strategically under widely and frequently changing social situations.
