With increasing diversification and with expanding knowledge frontiers, design has to change from the traditional approach of applying the structured knowledge to the trial and error based approach which needs more interaction with the environments. Thus design will be carried out in a more context conscious manner and Project Based Learning will provide learners with such capabilities. Further, such a design approach would contribute a great deal toward establishing Life Cycle Engineering and toward realization of products with growing functions.
