Abstract
A visualization system VIS has been developed to visualize simulation results of a Shinkansen train running at high speed on the railway structure. The VIS is based on an object-oriented approach to create and visualize components of the railway structure including Shinkansen train, the railway structure, and the surrounding environment effectively. Examples including the visualization of a Shinkansen train running on a cable stayed long-spanned concrete bridge in Nagano Shinkansen line are demonstrated.
