Abstract
Recently it has been possible to estimate the effects of skiing parameters on the characteristic of a ski turn using a simulating approach. Furthermore, a numerical approach has been proposed to estimate conveniently the flexural rigidities of the cross sectional construction of a ski. Using these numerical approaches makes it possible to estimate the characteristic of the ski turn from the shape and cross sectional construction of the ski. In the present study, it is demonstrated numerically that one can design the shape and cross section of the ski with an objective characteristic of ski turn using the above-mentioned two approaches.
