Abstract
The automotive industry today is confronted with radical changes in competitive conditions, which are globalization, reduction in development time, individual customer oriented product development, increased complexity and increased product quality. It is not only in Europe but also in world wide. It is the problem which now confronts engineers. To tackle this, they have decided to use optimization system as one of tools at early stage of development cycle. This means that accelerate front loading. This paper shows practical use of optimization system for white body development at BMW.
