Today, more lightweight and more stiffness structure member is needed because of environment concern. Especially, for vehicle car this issue is very important. So, we try to enhance diamond core panel which is first developed by Dr. Nojima in order to be substituted for car door panel. This panel is derived from the theory of filling plane with certain geometrical figures. We evaluate its bending characteristic through the non-linear dynamic simulation. And we select design variables of Diamond Core Panel which affect its bending characteristic very much. Using these variables we try to optimize the configuration.
