Abstract
With increasing diversification, the standard for value evaluation has changed extensively these days. Not only functions are evaluated, but also such new factors as Kansei, etc are taken into consideration in Japanese design. Emotion is also attracting wide attention in the Western world. But it seems there is a great difference between Kansei which Japanese evaluate highly and Emotion which Westerners talk about. The difference the author notices will be discussed.
