When working on mechanical design problems, designers must consider many product attributes, for example, cost, qualities, and items pertaining to environmental impact. To streamline decision making, the number of alternatives that must be considered should be decreased and the main goal of the mechanical design should be clarified and set. This paper proposes a system that supports product design decision making, where maximum satisfaction of market needs is the goal. The proposed method generates design alternatives using multiobjective optimization techniques and maximizes market need satisfaction using AHP. As an example, the proposed system is applied to a robot design problem.
