This study proposes an evaluation model of business value which provides information for more reliable decision making considering its uncertainty, to create strategic options of product development projects which involves various uncertain factors throughout the life cycle stages. In order to consider various options in product development, it is necessary to calculate huge number of combinations about each decision makings, market situation and customer responses. It is difficult to evaluate such various combinations of development conditions, a computational support method is desired. This paper focused on computational method to evaluate various different kinds of strategic options, environmental changes and unknown factors in market. An automatic evaluation and displaying method is required to help better decision makings by designer. A computational calculation method of impact elements of external factors for evaluating business value of product development project is proposed and verified using automatic repairing machine for high buildings in this paper.
