Abstract
The aim of this study is to design the cultivation environment scenario in the rice plant cultivation by using data mining technique and optimization algorithm. The use of the multi-layer neural network model predicts the yield and the quality in the rice cultivation. As the objective function, the income is defined as the product of the yield and the quality. The scenario of the daily average temperature is changed in order to maximize the objective function. The result shows that the daily temperature in Nagoya is too high for the rice Oryza sativa ’Koshihikari’.
