Abstract

In the driving state of equipment, vibration of the drivetrain system often occurs. The failure state of the equipment may cause the disturbance of the vibration waveform. In the present study, I will focus on predictive maintenance at the design stage. The drive state of the equipment to be designed is physically modeled, and the vibration waveform of the equipment is assumed (or measured by actual prototype). A threshold for the degree of waveform distortion in the fault state is introduced. The frequency distributions of normality and failure that occur when the design variables of the equipment are changed within the expected range is expressed by an index of statistics, and the existence range of both is determined by the point that they are clearly separated. Then, the idea of finding the range of design variables that fall on the normal side by the set-based design method is shown.
