The authors attempted to create a manual on mechanical design drafting and 3D-CAD operation using Onshape for elementary and junior high school students. The manual was reviewed through the actual verification work of junior high school students and university students in the author's laboratory. Using the extrusion feature of Onshape, we constructed classical foundation drafting such as cylinders, V-shaped blocks, connecting rods, and spanners. These drawings of cylinders, V-shaped blocks, and connecting rods were combined with Onshape account registration, setup, printing 2D-CAD drawings from 3D-CAD drawings, and assembly drawings to complete a total of seven lectures. From the results of the study, it was confirmed that even junior high school students who cannot read three-view-drawing can learn how to operate Onshape. In addition, the effectiveness of Onshape was further verified for students in the author's laboratory by actually employing Onshape in an engineering design exercise.
