抄録

The Industrial Society initiated by the Industrial Revolution focuses its main attention to Industries and we work for others. We forgot to pay attention to human needs. The Industrial Society, however, is getting close to its end and now we need to develop the next society. Many issues emerged in The Industrial Society. To solve them and to develop human-centered society, we need to develop new learning system in engineering. We should look back and remember how we enjoyed engineering in old times. We worked for ourselves and we challenged to make our dreams come true. This is what only humans can do. We should enjoy life as humans. To achieve this goal, design learning in engineering should move from expert to amateur, from education to learning, from product to process and self-motivation should be encouraged. Then, diversification and personalization will be brought about. We should remember the potentiality of Mechanical Engineering. We should be aware of how Mechanical Engineering can play a major role in achieving these objectives.
