Abstract
It is considered that a rotating body such as a sheave on an elevator system with unbalance maybe causes vibration on an elevator cage. However, the quantitative relationship between both has not been clarified. In this study, we investigated the vibrations of elevator cages caused by the unbalance of main sheave, deflector sheave and car sheave on some actual elevators. As the results, the vibration of elevator cage caused by the unbalance of these sheave strongly depends on the resonance of isolation system, and on the contrary influence from the degree of unbalance of the sheaves is not so.
