Abstract
In buildings, escalators are set up as structure with bottom fixed and upper non-fixed style, in order not to restrict the truss deformation. In non-fixed side, Escalator is supported by L-form board, and hanging to the beam of building. Therefore, when building greatly shakes, escalator comes off from the beam of building and may drop. It is necessary to make the behavior of seismic of escalator clear to prevent such an accident. In this study, Analysis model which evaluable the seismic behavior of the escalator has been developed.
