Abstract
This paper presents new methods for elevator group management control system in order to improve transport capability and energy efficiency. We propose a transport capability improvement method for destination floor control system. Feature of this method is detecting the high demand destination floor in advance, and reducing number of stops of car assigned to the floor. In addition, we propose an energy efficiency improving method for elevator group management control system. Features of this method are (1) predicting trajectories of all cars considering of risk of large electric and mechanical losses in future, (2) reducing these losses over from present to the future, and (3) balancing between energy efficiency and passengers' waiting time depending on predictive energy efficiency. The effectiveness of these methods are evaluated by computer simulations.
