Abstract
We have developed original code for prediction of the thermal environment of Houses utilizing PCM (Phase Change Materials) wallboard, which is gypsum board contains PCM such as paraffin. In this model, the assumption that air in a room is perfectly mixed is used, and air flow isn't calculated. From the reason like this, this model is called Macro Model. This Macro Model is advantageous for prediction for a long period, compared with ordinary Micro Model calculating air flow. In this paper, we investigated the effect of reduction of cooling load and of improvement of thermal comfort in the model room utilizing PCM wallboard under the weather condition of Japanese summer season for 4 months by using Macro Model.
