Abstract
For heating rooms in a house by solar heat, it was proposed to use solar heat for heating together with heat from air-conditioner in order to make the solar systems small and inexpensive. In the present preliminary study, electric carpets which were set under the floor of a room were used to heat the floor. The temperature in the room became uniform when the floor temperature became 2 to 3℃ above the room temperature which was set at 22℃ by an air-conditioner. For this purpose, heat supply of 40 to 50W/m^2 from the floor was necessary. The heat transfer coefficient from the floor to the air increased from about 6W/(m^2K) by increasing the supply of heat by air conditioner.
