Abstract
To estimate environmental impacts caused by different environmental problems through the entire life cycle of any industrial products, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) has been greatly paid attention. This technique assesses the environmental aspects and potential impacts of a product through a product's life (cradle to grave) This "LCA-NETS" software has been developed in order to support the LCA study, and the "LCA-NETS" method that has been proposed here is applied for life cycle impacts assessment. The software can quickly evaluate environmental loads by use of GUI (graphical user interface) and display not only the calculation results by tables and graphs, but also analysis results that help make eco-design decision. In this study, LCA-NETS has been applied for evaluations of many industrial products. As the result, it is clarified that "LCA-NETS" is found to be a powerful tool to analyze the quantitative LCA environmental loads for various industrial products.
