Abstract
the characteristics of shock waves in compound-compressible flow through a Laval mozzle have been investigated experimentally by schlieren optical observations. As the results, it was found that when the Mach number just upstream of a compound shock wave is low, the shock in the mozzle becomens a mormal shock with compresson waves. On the other hand, when the Mach number is increased, it changes into a bifurcated shock wave with a normal shock wave.
