Abstract
A flow around a two-dimensional airfoil(NACA0012) is simulated by large eddy simulation on voxel meshes of 4 different resolutions The Reynolds number based on the chord length of the airfoil and the uniform-flow velocity is 2.0×10^6 and the angle of attack is set to 9 degrees.The drag and lift coefficient,and distribution of surface pressure are compared with experimental values,in order to investigate accuracy of the result predicted by simulation.The results on voxel mesh of high resolution are well agreement with the experimental value.
