Flow characteristic of a hydrogel with different butylene glycol amount is investigated by the stress-ramp test and the fitting using a single Maxwell model. With increasing the butylene glycol, the yield stress and the yield strain are increase monotonically. However, there is no yield behavior in the hydrogel with 50wt% butylene glycol. In the viscoelasticity before the yield, the viscosity and the relaxation time decreases with increasing the butylene glycol. The elasticity which is constant value below than the butylene glycol 30wt% disappears at the butylene glycol 50wt%. From these results, a critical condition of the yield behavior like the yield stress and strain is influenced by the relaxation time before the yield. The element of the elasticity is necessarily to occur the yield behavior.
