The expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) used in patients with congenital diseases right atrium in artificial blood vessel transplantation have performed to provide the role of the valve in the heat process. The stress was provided tensile test and punching test. It was found that the tensile property, which evaluates expansion and contraction, have difference stress depending on the tensile direction. The maximum tensile stress from parallel direction was 10MPa and that from circumferential direction was 9MPa. The punching stress from inner plane and outer plane were compared the loading stress. The maximum punching stress from inner plane was 100MPa and that from outer plane was 80MPa. The comparing the maximum punching load on the inner and outer surfaces, the inner surface have endured with the blood flow to internal pressure. Then, the ePTFE of the cross-sectional structure was observed the microstructure using the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The microstructure was observed the about 20nm in the diameter fibril.
