The effect of waviness on the thermal contact resistance has been observed. Materials of the upper and the lower specimens were stainless steel SUS304 and infrared ray transmission glass CaF_2. Two upper specimen having different waviness were prepared. Temperature distributions of the contact surfaces were measured by an Infrared CCD camera. It was found that the temperature distributions were changed according to the waviness of the upper specimen. Contact patterns between the upper and the lower specimens were obtained by the polymer film method. The contact patterns were similar to the temperature distributions.
