This research is concerned with a recognition method of traffic signal as driving assistance from video image. A proposal is tuning extracted range for color system by using genetic algorithm in the weather change. First, the image from the camera is taken. Second, the binary format image is transformed on the tuned color system range by using genetic algorithm. Finally, the traffic signal is searched and recognized by using the model matching.
